Sacred 3 - PS3 Review | Chalgyr's Game Room

Added: 15.10.2014 15:18 | 26 views | 0 comments

Chalgyr's Game Room writes: Sacred is a game that comes with a lot of history behind it. I had originally picked up Scared off a shelf at a now very long defunct computer store that we used to have which carried the obscure games as if they were the norm. I liked the way Sacred looked, and to this day I do not regret it what-so-ever. I bought Sacred 2 when it came out, hell I bought it again not only on the PS3, but also as a Gold Edition on Steam for the Expansion content. Needless to say, Ive always loved the series with the Dark Elf/Vampiress as my favorite characters of the first, followed by the Seraphim and High Elf in the second. Sadly when Ascaron announced that it was closing its doors I figured that we would never get another chance to play a new Sacred until Deep Silver came along and produced Sacred 3.

Dying Light Preview (Strategy Informer)

From Strategyinformer.com: "Dying Light has some work to do in order to differentiate itself from fellow open-world zombie game Dead Island 2 which is an odd state of affairs, as developers Techland were behind the first game in the series that's now their main rival, before a split with publisher Deep Silver forced them to go back to the drawing board. Yes, it's been a long and winding road for Dying Light, but judging by the brief hands-on session I managed to grab at EGX last month, all that adversity hasn't necessarily been a bad thing for the game.".

After splitting from publisher Deep Silver and losing the Dead Island license, Techland had to come up with some new ideas to set its upcoming zombie survival game Dying Light apart. As lead designer Maciej Binkowski explained to Strategy Informer in a recent interview, that wasn't always an easy process; "I'll tell you, there were times we had to step back and say this is too much like Dead Island"," he admitted.

Dead Island 2 Preview (Strategy Informer)

Added: 09.10.2014 19:14 | 22 views | 0 comments

From Strategyinformer.com: "Please don't get confused. After the first Dead Island did hugely well Deep Silver were confident that they could turn it into a franchise, which is why we're expecting three Dead Island games right now. There's a MOBA, a third-person more adventure-y spin-off, and Dead Island 2. No, Riptide wasn't a proper sequel. And no, Techland (who made the first two games) aren't doing this, they're off doing the similar but more serious and parkour-driven Dying Light. Dead Island 2 though, from Spec Ops: The Line developer Yager, is looking good. We've got an interview up already, now you can read what we thought of the game itself. ".
